Q: What are the NPO guidelines for patients receiving sedation?

Q: What other information should the patient receive?

  • Any patient receiving anesthesia must have someone drive them home.

  • Patients should take their heart and pulmonary medications on the day of surgery.

Q: Does  ACNJ Mobile Anesthesia Service contact the patients before their procedures?

A: ACNJ will contact the patient at least 24 hours in advance of their procedure to obtain a medical history and give them preoperative instructions.
