Billing and Scheduling

Q: What is the best way to schedule patients with ACNJ for office anesthesia?

A: The practice should call our office at (732) 271-1400, ext. 608 to speak with Kathy Pallein. She will assist you in scheduling and determining anesthesia fees.

Q: How far in advance does the practice need to schedule patients with ACNJ?

A: We prefer two weeks notice to schedule the first case for any particular day. Less notification is needed when adding a patient to an existing scheduled day.

Q: Does the practice charge a fee to the practice for the use of its equipment and supplies?

A: We do not charge the practice a fee for equipment and supplies.

Q: Does ACNJ charge the patient for its services?

A: We will bill the patient's insurance for all anesthesia services, in the same way that we would bill for hospital or ambulatory surgery cases.

Q: How does the ACNJ manage patients with no insurance or procedures insurance will not pay for the anesthesia services?

A: If insurance does not cover the service, the patient should contact Kathy Pallein at (732) 271-1400, ext. 608 to discuss payment arrangements.
